As a former counselor and a mom, I am always looking for better ways to parent and understand my children and their development through the various stages. I find it empowering to understand what my children are going through at various stages of their lives, so I can support them in the best way possible. It is a learning process that I enjoy very much but I have found having a support system is life changing. I believe that knowledge is power and having the right information as your child transitions through each stage of their development ensures their success and saves your sanity. When you have others who join you on the ride, all the better!
My motto is preparation+organization=success. In an effort to support other parents and learn more myself, I collaborate in a variety of ways to understand our role as parents and together we look at best practices on how to raise independent, strong, and compassionate young men and women. When we share our experiences and use valuable and reliable resources to understand each stage of development our children benefit and blossom. You will have the tools necessary to be a confident parent helping your child through difficult situations empowering them on their journey.
I am proud to say that as a grassroots parent group we are gaining some momentum with our parent/student education that is so desperately wanted. As a transitions expert, I understand that having the information necessary to support your child at each natural stage of development is key to having a thriving parent and child relationship. Each stage requires different transitional information and you can learn them through a variety of methods including private consultation, workshops, webinars, book studies and small discussion groups.
